Leaf & Lentil is a family owned vegan restaurant with a chef driven menu that will satisfy even the most skeptical meat eater. Our dishes are created by Chef Mike. Chef Michael Schoening truly loves cooking for people. He grew up in Florida, and began his career in Germany more than 20 years ago in a small, highly acclaimed Gaststatte. Shortly after arriving, Mike knew the kitchen life was for him. He went on to culinary school has since cooked around the country - in Park City, Cape Cod, West Palm Beach, Clearwater, and now with his family in Sarasota, Florida. In the past few years, Mike has refocused his training and experience toward a vegan and plant-based style of cooking. In addition to lifestyle changes he has made for himself, Mike wants to help his guests realize that healthy, conscientious, delicious, and affordable options are available.

Chef Mike runs Leaf & Lentil along with his partner in all parts of life, Sheila Siegel. They work with a wonderful team to bring you delicious vegan food in a warm, kind, and welcoming atmosphere. We can't wait to meet you and cook for you!
